Hope President Bush isn't spending too much on those pollsters covered on the front page today by Dan Balz and Peter Baker:
"The most important single factor in determining public support for a war is the perception that the mission will succeed," [pollster Christopher] Gelpi said in an interview yesterday.
It's an interesting piece for dilletante wonks such as myself, and Washington is Wonk Central. I just wonder if a story that generates a screaming headline like Bush Words Reflect Public Opinion Strategy is worthy of knocking off the front page Army Surpasses Its June Recruiting Goals but Says Much Work Remains.
Or Blair Denies Claims U.S. Rushed to War on the Downing Street Memos.
Or Canada to Restrict Exports to U.S. of Prescription Drugs
Or for that matter Auto Alliance Chief Drops 'Acting' From Title. Also there's a nice Microsoft ad that could be moved up.
