All Bombs, All The Time

Iraq according to the Washington Post--the top results of a search for just one of the Post's reporters, Jackie Spinner. Day after day after day--you'd scarcely know anything but death if this were your only source.

Fortunately, there are other places to go. As stated here before, one of the most comprehensive sources of news good, bad and ugly is Mudville Gazette and its Dawn Patrol. Here's the entry for Sept. 30. Yes, that's just one day. And after various separate efforts, bloggers combined forces a few weeks ago to launch Good News Central, which includes dispatches on Iraq and Afghanistan via Bill Crawford, Alenda Lux, Chris Blosser, Iraq the Model, RTO Trainer: aka and Signaleer, and the Foundation for the Defense of Democracy. Editor is Joe Katzman of Winds of Change. I'll be putting some of these up as permalink in the near future. My own modest Iraq's Untold Story is just a teaser compared to these guys.
