I'm late to this party, but my how the world keeps an eye on the Post. Jonathan Finer and Doug Struck wrote Bloggers, Money Now Weapons in Information War, which among other things cast blogger Bill Roggio, who embedded with the Marines, as kind of a Pentagon mouthpiece. Roggio notes multiple errors in the story, and he elaborated on them on Hugh Hewitt's show, as shown in the Radioblogger transcript.

Roggio has some valid criticsms but I don't think that they undermine the credibility of Finer and Struck's story. Most of them are rather ministerial. That's especially remarkable considering the length and detail of the critique.
The quote Roggio used by Cori Dauber is well phrased. There's only one problem, I don't think these reporters are guilty of moral equivalence. It should be noted that Dauber describes the story as "worthwhile" in his blog link.
My conclusions about Finer and Struck's story and Roggio's critique are most assurededly colored by my general agreement with Secretary Rumsfeld about the shortcomings of the reporting from Iraq. Finer and Struck deserve praise for a fine story that withstands close scrutiny from an interested critic.
