Nathan Goulding at NRO's Media Blog:
Following up on a reader tip, I looked into one of the AP's reporters, Bassem Mroue. Mroue has a personal blog full of anti-Israeli sentiments including this photo providing some insight as to what Mroue thinks Israel's goals have been in its conflict with Hezbollah...
There's more; I believe the saying goes Read it all. For my part, I just want to briefly note that washingtonpost.com carries the separate AP blog that Nathan references, which includes posts by Mroue. Haven't had a chance to examine it in detail, but then that's what PostWatch readers are for!
You can also find a couple of Mroue AP files here and here at washingtonpost.com. My quick brief check doesn't show anything in the paper itself.
UPDATE: Life's ambition fulfilled with a link from Ace. Even though this was based on an item where all the important original work was done by Nathan Goulding and one of his readers, I can now shut down PostWatch with a clear conscience. And yet, I won't.
Ace:
There are two sorts of reporters in Lebanon, Mr. Bassem Mroue, and neither takes pictures of Hezbollah gunmen, dead or (especially alive).
Western/non-Muslim journalists don't do so because Hezbollah threatens to kill them if they do.
Islamic journalists don't do so either, but no threats are needed, because you're on board with the program.
