That's old news now, but it's the hed I would have used on today's front-page story instead of Pelosi Splits Democrats With Push For Murtha by Jonathan Weisman and Lois Romano. It's also the hed the Post would have used if any Republican had said it. On the front page, before the turn, Weisman and Romano meekly describe the comments made by Murtha, who's running for majority leader against Steny Hoyer:
Murtha... may have hurt his own chances Tuesday night when he derided the Democrats' ethics and lobbying package before saying he will push for its passage anyway out of deference to Pelosi.
The elegant 'crap' appears safely after the fold, toward the end of the story, but it's there and the story doesn't back away at all from describing the kind of gutter brawl this has turned into.
Kudos to the Post for putting up this link, a live feed the House leaders presumably will use to announce who won. Right now WTOP's David McConnell is amiably explaining to someone how to hit the record button on the podium.
