Read this over at Tom Maguire's blog because I stopped reading Andrew Sullivan a long time ago. Sullivan:
It is difficult to look into the future when you are going through what America is going through. All I can say about the atmosphere in the United States right now is that it feels as if the country is about to vomit. The nausea is there; the vote is imminent; and the purge necessary. And yet it hasn’t happened yet. Americans are still staring at the porcelain. And those who desperately want a change — as I do — have to wait.
Raise your hand if you feel this way.
Even most insane politicoes don't feel like that. He gets the big bucks though.
I don't have the link handy, but yesterday a Washington Times reporter referred to the possible outcome of this election as a "seismic shift." No. This is an important election, and because of the Democrats' unserious attitude about the war against Islamofascism, it could have grave consequences.
But politically there are no tectonic plates in view. A seismic shift would be if we woke up and Communist Party of America took control of Congress.
Or, if my Libertarian brother were crowned King.
Yes, that would be a contradiction. But he'd find a way around it. Monarchial Libertarianism. Oh, that would suit him just fine.
Plus it would be a seismic shift. Just so you know.
