I'm beginning to wonder whether the Post will someday describe the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks as a navigation error.
At National Airport, Prayers Against Profiling by Leslie Miller is a short story about a protest by the imams barbarically removed from the US Airways flight:
The imams, who were returning from a religious conference, had prayed on their prayer rugs in the airport before the flight. After they boarded the flight, a passenger, who was alarmed by their activity, passed a note to a flight attendant. The men were taken off the airplane, handcuffed and questioned...
"Apparently, as they were boarding, one passenger overheard them saying what they thought were anti-U.S. statements," [US Airways spokeswoman Andrea] Rader said.
She also said the men got up and moved around the airplane, so the flight crew consulted with the airline about whether they might pose a security risk. Local law enforcement and the FBI thought they did, she said.
Once again, the Post positively requires me to rely on other sources to find out what the heck's going on in the world. Audrey Hudson in the Washington Times:
Witnesses said three of the imams were praying loudly in the concourse and repeatedly shouted "Allah" when passengers were called for boarding US Airways Flight 300 to Phoenix.
"I was suspicious by the way they were praying very loud," the gate agent told the Minneapolis Police Department.
Passengers and flight attendants told law-enforcement officials the imams switched from their assigned seats to a pattern associated with the September 11 terrorist attacks and also found in probes of U.S. security since the attacks -- two in the front row first-class, two in the middle of the plane on the exit aisle and two in the rear of the cabin.
"That would alarm me," said a federal air marshal who asked to remain anonymous. "They now control all of the entry and exit routes to the plane."...A pilot from another airline said: "That behavior has been identified as a terrorist probe in the airline industry."
According to Hudson's story, some of the imams also asked for seat-belt extenders (terrific weapons) though they weren't obese, then laid them on the floor.
According to Hudson's story, two of them were denied a request for a seating upgrade, and then found up front in first class.
Come on. What else do we need before we're allowed to question public behavior, box cutters?

Perfect example of how Islam is using the left's war on Christianity against us.
