When the Washington Post advocates a law banning newspapers from publishing negative stories about politicians during a campaign, I'll start to take them seriously. Until then, editorials like "Finally, 527s" saying the FEC acted too late in fining the free speech of Swiftboat Veterans and MoveOn.org are nothing but special pleading for its own monopoly.
